01 — HAMARA AGENDA ہمارا ایجنڈا

Not a list of dreams. A list of fixes.

Every point is a problem you have faced yourself, from a road that floods after one shower to a result that comes months late. And every one has a practical, doable fix.

Campus

The basics should simply work.

  • Drains rebuilt, starting with Habib Hall, VM Hall and SS North Hall, along with repaired roads, footpaths and streetlights
  • A campus pass for every student from the day of admission
  • A xerox point and a canteen near every faculty
  • A subsidised central canteen with food students can afford
  • A culture of reading, dialogue and debate, so the campus becomes an intellectual space again
👩‍🎓9 points

Women's Welfare & Safety

Women students should be seen, heard and given equal chances.

  • No compulsory dining, and outing rules reviewed together with women students
  • All-women staff in girls' hostels, including the dining staff
  • Better Wi-Fi, renovated Women's College classrooms and basic amenities that work
  • Better patrolling and more CCTV cameras around women's halls and Women's College
💚5 points

No student should feel alone here.

  • Full-time psychologists working with every hall
  • A 24/7 helpline and a confidential wellbeing check in the first week
  • Extra counsellors during exams and on result days
♿6 points

Specially Abled Students

Nobody should need help just to reach the classroom.

  • Wheelchairs handed out at the start of the session
  • Guiding tiles and a university e-rickshaw service
  • Trained volunteer scribes and 20 extra minutes in every exam
  • The 150+ job vacancies for specially abled people should reach our students

What belongs to AMU must stay with AMU.

  • Every AMU property listed on the university website with its records
  • Legal protection for the mosque on campus
  • World heritage recognition for Sir Syed's buildings
  • A place for the Students' Union in every court case about AMU, and a strong legal fight for the horse-riding land

Academics

A degree that prepares you for the world as it is today.

  • AI in every syllabus, plus diploma, skill and vocational courses alongside your degree
  • A placement cell that works, internships for every faculty and international job fairs

  • A fixed academic calendar, results on time and the return of convocation

It is students' money, and students have a right to know.

  • An open audit of dining money and the rising deficit
  • Tour fees refunded if the tour doesn't happen
  • No surprise fee hikes, and no fee decision without elected student representatives

New Units

Services should come to students, not the other way round.

  • Student welfare (DSW), counselling and complaints (ICC) offices inside Women's College
  • A health centre with its own ambulance for Women's College
  • A placement office in Delhi NCR, closer to the companies

Research Scholars

Research needs respect, and time.

  • Clear rules and a grievance system that protects scholars from unfair supervisors
  • International conference grants with no age limit
  • A fixed PhD calendar and conferences in every department
🌍2 points

International Students

Our guests deserve help, not harassment.

  • A union help desk for visa extensions and paperwork

Halls

More rooms, better rooms, better dining.

  • A hall room for every student in the first year, by opening closed halls and annexes
  • Reopen the SN Hall annexe and open the Shaikh Zayed hostel
  • No leaking roofs, no frequent power cuts and better reading rooms
  • Better food, cleaner kitchens and wardens who treat students with respect
🏏4 points

Sports

Sport deserves people who know sport.

  • Women coaches, so women athletes can train with confidence
  • Equal teams, practice time, facilities and tournaments for women

  • Games Committee posts for people with a sports or physical education background

National Issues

Our stand comes from the Constitution.

  • Speedy trials and bail for political prisoners held for years without trial under the UAPA
  • Courts, not bulldozers: the Supreme Court's guidelines followed everywhere
  • Protect public education, keep history in textbooks and restore the Maulana Azad Fellowship
  • A fair voter-list revision (SIR), with union help desks so no family loses its vote

02 — WHY INTKHAB

One of us. For all of us.

Mohd Intkhab is a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of History and lives in Sir Syed Hall (North). He is standing for President with a 81-point agenda built around problems every AMU student knows: delayed results, leaking rooms, late fellowships and offices that need ten visits.

“Every point needed, every point doable. Read them, argue with them, and tell us what's missing.”

03 — YOUR HALL

Hall by hall: the problem, and the fix

Every hall has its own problems. Here are some we are working on. If your hall faces something else, tell us.

Aftab Hall

The problem

Poor food in the dining hall, and long waits for a room.

Our fix

We will improve the food, keep kitchens clean, give students a real say in how dining is run, and make sure every student gets a room in the first year.

Ambedkar Hall

The problem

Getting a simple certificate means going from office to office.

Our fix

We will set up a single window, online and offline, where you can apply, pay, upload documents and track your request, with a time limit for routine work.

Begum Azeezunnisa Hall

The problem

Slow internet, and too few CCTV cameras near the hall.

Our fix

We will push for fast, reliable Wi-Fi in girls' hostels, along with better patrolling and more CCTV cameras around women's halls for safety.
